To me too many people are doing that kit now. I thought about it and said no due to that. That is why I am going with the custom look.

Tag on the racecar was just a decoy. I don't drive it on the streets normally.

I'm confused. The "eleanor" was a reproduction right? Not a restomod....those two are not one and the same are they

No Eleanors are resto mods. a reproduction is of a car that was actually produced. Eleanors were never produced. Only had a body kit made.

it's all sematics, but I'm learning and I wanna be sure. Resto mod means "restored", but "modified" in a way that is not faithful to original period specs...ie, new rims and tires or non-period correct powerplant.

Eleanor may not have been a production car, but all non original Eleanors are reproductions because their intent is to faithfully "reproduce" the original, not to modify it which would make it a resto mod. Now if you had a Eleanor with a 4V DOHC then it would qualify as a resto-mod....right?

The Eleanor is a body kit made for Gone In 60 Seconds. So all Eleanors are kit cars. They are basically a 67-68 GT500 with body mods. You have the resto-mod part correct.

So the Eleanor could be a reproduction depending on how you look at it.

That is 1 of the Pit Viper Mustangs. I saw Pit Viper #5 down in Palm Beach at Barrett-Jackson. Here is a pic of Pit Viper #5. This also made my want for the two tone paint job even more.
