Vert had crooked teeth...

So it got some new braces.

Actually, this is the MMCBP-11 package. Maximum Motorsports kit containing full length sub-frames, 4-point G-load, and strut tower brace. They came in yesterday so I decided to get at least the STB and G-load in today. Gonna have to find someone to weld in the connectors. Have someone in mind, but the place did not answer the phone today.

Here's a few pics of getting them in.

Looks great - pretty straightforward bolt in for those parts?

Yep! MM has their installation instructions online that you can look at. The STB mounts up to the two pinch weld holes at the firewall. You do have to drill the 6 5/16" holes for the shock tower mounts.

The G-load bolts right in. Remove the inner k-member bolts and replace with theirs. There are two holes in the k-member where the other two points mount to.

Took me about two hours. I took my time since it was a pretty day.

Price isn't too bad for that stuff either. I'm going to have to look into buying from them.

Cheapest I could find is the guy on Corral. I did an Internet search and found that the cheapest was still about $25 more than him when shipping was included.

Yeah I ordered my C/C plates from a guy over there. He was cheaper shipped than UPR was giving me wholesale pricing.

He does not do that anymore. Not for a long time. He did mine in the 84 when he was in the old building across the street.

There's a thread here that mentions C&J Welding. I'm gonna do a lot of the prep (take off the X brace, drill out the side braces, install the seat bolts) and hopefully take it to them this week since the weather will be nice.

Won't be until November for my Bilstein system. ;-(

Okay, I had a few pics here. Been trying to post for days, but webshots won't create links to anything but the smallest size. Just to let you know, the instructions are VERY thorough so I will not be posting how to do this. Here's a link to their instructions. MM has posted for all of their stuff.

http://www.maximummotorsports.com/co...iff/MMFL-5.pdf

I snapped a few picks with my iPhone as they were being welded. Rich at C&J did a great job!

And here's a few pics of the bar along the passenger side. Once everything was welded in, Rich sprayed some truck bed coating on everything. Definitely should keep it from rusting. :-)

Chuck, Mike, Rich, John and the rest of the guys were a blast to talk with. They are a great crew and will get any of my welding work in the future! You will have to call first to check on time when they can do it.

Hmmmm, the pictures aren't showing up on my end. I can see the pics in the first posts but not the ones in the last two.

Wow, webshots is really having a headache.
Perhaps if you start here. These are the pics that I have.
1120, 1121, 1124, and 1125 are the ones I snapped while he worked on it.
The next four after those are the ones I took in my garage.

Pretty nice looking work. I bought the bare steel versions and am planning to paint them with POR-15. Hopefully mine will turn out as nice as yours did.

POR-15 should be just fine. These are also the bare steel version. I couldn't see the idea of having to grind off places to weld only to paint again. I think at some point I need to jack the car up and paint all of the underneath. :-)

The difference in the stability and ride of the car is amazing! It also accentuates the 28-year-old rear shocks. :-) Darn shame that once I get all of my suspension work done it will be too cold to drive. Wait, I have a winter coat, gloves, hat, and scarf... and the heater works! What am I thinking?
