Trade, Silver Ponies for Chrome Cobra R's
Trade, Silver Ponies for Chrome Cobra R's
I know it's a long shot, but I have 16" Silver 4 lug Ponies, good condition, just balanced about 6 weeks ago, not bent, with all center caps, though one is cracking.
I planned to wait until I needed tires and buy a new set of 4 lug Chrome Cobra R's with tires already mounted, then sell the Ponies, but I figured why not try now!
Tires on the car now are about 1/2 tread remaining, they are Hankook (sp?) and they look like Aquatread tires sort of.
Thanks,
Sam

I sent you a PM yesterday. Thinking about it afterwards, what price did you have in mind. If the price is good enough I could tell my wife I'm getting $x for these wheels and tires, so the new ones will really only cost $x. The wheel/tire combo I want is going to be $1000 or just over shipped.
I want the Cobra R's in 17x8 front with a 225-245/45 or 40 in the front and the 17x9 265-285/45 or 40 in the rear, either chrome or polished. I'm can't decide on the chrome/polished, I like both. I wonder which will hold up better and last longer. I've seem chrome flake, etc. Polished seems like it would hold up longer and could be repaired as a DIY project if needed.
