he lived a lot of years on spare time ... with a borrowed heart and kidney ..

 

And our cars live on spare time with new motors and air filters

 

I heard today that he was the oldest livng heart transplant recipient. He certainly used all of his 89 years.

 

Ran into a couple at the mall who happened to be avid Shelby fans. They visited the company, both owned gt500's at some point in their life, an even had a chance to meet and talk with the man himself. Needless to say i was extrememly jealous. They sai he was one of the most down-to-earth, humble guys theyve ever met and was just a pleasure to be around. I wish i couldve met him but my next goal is to get my hands on a gt500 and keep his memory alive by driving the hell out of it.
