as super nice as it is i dont think it will fetch more than the current bid .. wonder what the reserve is .. i see a downturn in outrageous prices in the immediate future ..

I think for a '65 Shelby (only 562 made), my bet would be that it will hit at least $200k. I've seen several sell for $275-$350K in the last year. In 1988 there was one in Huntsville up on Green Mtn. Was offered to me for $13,500 and I turned it down.

perhaps so , when i worked at the junkyard in 1973 there was one on the yard with a bad motor .. i dont remember what became of it ..

It's VERY nice but it's more than likely nicer than it was when new. These cars didn't get this kind of attention to detail when it comes to paint and finishes and as a result many cars are often "over restored"....not that there is anything wrong with that as it makes a nicer car in the end but it's a reality in the restoration world. I would have thought the car would have brought more than $250K given the detailed restoration and rarity of the '65s.....signs of todays economy I suppose.
