RCMC member gets "mention" in new Mustang Monthly

In the latest issue of Mustang Monthly, there is an article about the 2001 Bullitt Mustang and an interview of Scott Hoag, the guy who got it made. It mentions that he was in Huntsville and saw the actual "jump car" and that it was for sale. When he checked the VIN, he found out it was THE car in the poster, etc. and mentioned that to the owner who was trying to sell it. At that point, the "owner" pulled it off the market. That owner was our own Mark Dorner...

Found an online article about the auction Scott Hoag spoke about. It's from '07 so links to the auction are not active.

Cool. I was actually the buyer at that show. The "or best offer" went away when we found out what he had. Can you scan that article and send that to me?

That's an interesting article. I didn't know it existed. The car did sell on eBay to a collector in Miami. He already had a True Blue and a Black Bullitt, both with less than 10k miles. He was looking for a low mileage DHG Bullitt to complete the set. Mine wasn't low mileage (70k), but it was sure special. He flew to Huntsville and drove it home. He now has all three parked side by side. They don't get driven much.

It was a great car, and I do miss it. But you have to sell to buy, and I've had a few other special cars since the Jump Car.
