Oh, yes! This was a fantastic time out by the pool. I was just a newbie to the club, but I was amazed at how people opened their home to a group of folks like you and Deb did.

Her smile is what I see in my mind's eye, and in my heart.

Skip, the last six years were probably the best ones of her life. And you are the reason.

Thanks guys for all the kind words. I look forward to seeing you all in a couple days. The caravan idea from Huntsville I think Deborah would have loved. I'm not going to lie to you, It's extremely hard(crying right now) knowing I have to live my life without her. She WAS the love of my life and brought joy to those she touched.

Skip, I just cant imagine what your going thru right now. I didn't meet Deb but a few times and she treated me like she had known me my whole life every time. I think the only RCMC meeting I've ever been to was at your house. You have my thoughts and prayers. Just remember she's in a better place now.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. If I can just make it through today and tomorrow I'll be a little better. Let me tell you, we've all lost family members and friends but losing your spouse is the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with.
Hey Ralph, once I can get the yard ready the way Deb would have wanted it I'd be up for having the club back out here. Somebody else can cook though.HAHA . I will provide the pool.

Man, what can I say about the turnout last night for Deb's visitation other than WOW!! Thank you to all of you who came. I expected a pretty good turnout considering that it seems like everyone in the Arab area knows everyone else but I didn't expect to be standing there greeting people for 3 hours. It was my pleasure to greet all of them. I was telling people that if just half the people came for the services today the church would be packed. It was in honor of the love people have for Deb and hers and my family and I want the world to know how appreciative we are.

To the club members who are caravaning to the services today, I know your plans were to arrive around 12:45 but judging from last night and what is expected today you may want to arrive earlier.

As Skip mentioned, the church was packed and the line for visitation went outside (1.5 hour wait). Several RCMC members were there and I know the family appreciated our support for Skip and family. Since there is a potential that the turnout today could be quite large, as well as the on/off weather, this further emphasizes our 11:30am departure as a caravan to Arab.

Again, RCMC, we will meet at the South Parkway Walmart Supercenter just behind the Sonic Drive-in and leave at 11:30am. The drive is 23 miles, but again, weather etc. may be a factor. If you care to join us on your own schedule, go to Arab and turn LEFT onto Main Street just after the Arab Walmart. The street is a quick curve to the right and then you proceed not even 2 miles. The Arab 1st Baptist Church is on the left (it's the big one with a tall spiral). Following the service, we'll join the procession as a group (back toward H'ville) to Union Grove (the road - on the right - is 10 miles from the church).

Once again let thank all of you for your kind thoughts and words. I was looking at the visitation sign in book and there were over 500 names listed and that doesn't count the ones who saw the long lines and didn't come in. Anybody that did not get to go to Deb's burial site because of the weather or the confusion please email me at skipndeb@otelco.net and I will tell you how to get there.
