Plans for the Cobra
Front suspension
Coil over installed 350# springs
Rear suspension:
Rear coil over installed w/ New Koni SA shocks and 570# springs
Ordered or otherwise on hand awaiting install:
Delrin IRS upper control arms bushings
Delrin IRS rear diff support bushing
Poly bushings for the diff front
front and rear swaybar bushings
14oz of Silicone lube
grease fittings
QA1 K member
Poly bushings for the front control arms.
I think I can fab my own adjustable swaybar endlinks. I can easily get the rod ends, I just have to find a supplier for the "body" that they screw into. Anybody have a supplier to look to?
BTW, why did Virginia venom delete all his posts?????
I plan on making greaseable bushings for every part of the suspension that articulates. Partly because I hate a squeaky suspension, and because I want to........well....I just want to. I think it will be a learning experience.

1.) If you supply/find the material you want to make it from I could probably make them for you.
2.) I also know of a place that makes them but it's on my home computer (I'm at work as of this post). Seemed like nice products but I'm not sure what the pricing was.
3.) You can also get just a regular tube and have threaded ends welded into them. You can use thinner walled tube this way but have to find a welder. Look on www.chassisshop.com for examples. But that's not cheap.
I would say opion 1 would be the cheapest. But, who ever makes them would have to have/get the right taps and you would probably want a left and right hand thread on opposite ends for ease of adjustment.
Grease fittings are installed in the Lower control arms. I installed the rear fitting on the bottom, and the front is on the top of the LCA with a 90* fitting pointing towards the rear of the car for easy access.
One problem, The bushings at the hub are gone.....I'll have to see if there is an aftermarket available for them.
The other problem is that the "super grease" is too thick for the grease gun to pump. I think I'm going to have to get a pneumatic one and forget it.
Next is the UCA's and the bushings when they come in. I will try to tackle the K-member and front A-arms after the new year.

I made my own greaseable bushings today for the front sway bar. I removed the bracket and bushing. Drilled through both and then tapped the bracket.
I lubed everything up and then reassembled. After assembly I put the grease gun to the fitting and....wahoo, we have grease coming from the bushing.
I will have to re-lube the rear fittings to make sure that the pneumatic one can pump the grease past the delrin bushings.

Grease comes past the Delrin, although I had to put the "super grease" in the house for a couple of hours to warm it up....if I though it didn't flow well at 60*, You can imagine what it flows at 30*.
I went to swap out the K-member last week, but realized that I lost my "Key" to my locking lugnuts. I have had this car for YEARS without an issue, Now i've lost 2 keys in 3 months.
Anyway, Got the new key in. (I'm going to powdercoat it BRIGHT YELLOW so it will stick out like a sore thumb)Got the poly swaybar bushings in for the 98 Cobra swaybar and the IRS rear swaybar.
When I get a moment I'll swap the Steeda front swaybar/grease fittings from the cobra to the V6 and put the Cobra swaybar from the V6 on the Cobra and make some new grease fittings for it.
I also received my 3/16 drive fit, grease fittings yesterday as well.
Now all I need is time.

I've lost a key to locking lug nuts before too, right after I changed the diff and put the wheels back on! Fortunately Woody Anderson Ford's Quicklane shop has a master set of locks and they were kind enough to let me borrow them for a minute to take the locks off. Solution: check insurance coverage and do away with the locks! kennyg
This weekend I'm hoping to tackle the IRS front and rear Diff bushings, as well as the UCA bushings and grease fittings too. Should be a full day of wrenching for me. If I have the time I'll try and tackle the K-member and front A-arm bushings.
If anyone is interested/ taking pity I could always use an extra hand. Probably looking at Tuesday.
