All that and the rear spoiler angle is wrong - it's supposed to have the leading edge point down so it provides downforce, not up so it would provide lift!

So, how did that happen? Was it mounted in the wrong place, backwards, what?

There is an allen head adjustment on each pedestal that allows the angle to be changed.

How the hell did this thing go through a Bob Perkins resto, win several Thoroughbred competitions, etc. with the spoiler like that? Unbelievable. We should buy it at the Mecum, fix the spoiler and run it back through the auction. Gotta add $40k.

PS - or maybe Chrysler put it back on backwards when they were done reverse engineering it!

Notice it's one of the "real" '69 plastic spoilers, as can be identified by the "bow" or "sag" in the middle. If my Powerball ticket comes through this weekend, I will be at Mecum!

Can I go with you and whisper in your ear during the bidding?

I'll go too and sit close by looking slightly bewildered and embarrassed when the camera gets close.
