Hey Ken/Greg, maybe you should do something like this with your Fairlane Cobra?!

A replica, 1 bid for 50k and reserve not met. I think I would rather spend it on a new GT500.

wow.. if i had the money laying around i would soooo buy it. Talk about an attention getter at car shows and other events!!

Either way that car even as a replica will be worth more than a new GT500 EVER will be.

Yep, considering a Boss 429 engine now runs $25K + ... where as the new GT500s are already on the downward slope of value - seen a few in the mid to low 40's.

^ bingo! Ive been sitting back laughing at the rich fools who actually fell into fords sells tactic. Stating they would "ONLY" produce blah blah amount. They have already surpassed the production number of the terminators.. which is GREAT for us who bought them!!!

Yep, just got this email from the Shelby mailing list:

My finiancial planner has advised me I may have to sell my 07 Shelby GT, #127. It is white, charcoal interior, 4-speed, premium leather , 6 disc changer and 10K miles. I have every piece of paper, sticker and plastic cover that came on the car. A complete set of photos shows accurate positioning. Paperwork includes original order and all documents in the process, including the invoice. Brochures, parts catalogs and a poster of the car are included. It is located in the Atlanta area. Is anyone out there interested at $40K with a free set of 18" ten spoke wheels? Buy me a plane ticket home and I will bring it to you. THANKS Lee

While I don't disagree with the downward trend, the ad you show is for the Shelby GT, not a 500.

That is an amazing Talladega!!! There is a Fairlane Cobra in the Sept.07 Mustangs and Fords, why can't they get it right?, over and over they call it a Torino Cobra! As far as my Fairlane Cobra goes, I'd like to get it an indoor parking space soon, and then put together an FE and dress up the engine compartment with the CJ parts I do have but not get too concerned with it being totally 'correct'. Making it drivable with all it's 'patina' would be major to me! I've stored and re-stored this Cobra for 25 years! Jan Boggs has alot of memories of this one, he talked about it some on the old forum. kennyg
