mustang and vette rally
for those of you who know about my near death experience.
i have decided to take up deer hunting, but instead of using a gun i will use my trusty mustang.
i guess i did prove, red is the fastest color though since i did swerve and miss the massive beast.
to let everyone else in on the episode.
we were driving a long country 1 lane road with trees on both sides and ditches on both sides.
Alex was infront of me and so were 2 vettes
i saw four deer to the left of me in the ditch, and there were standing still
of course as i got closer thy darted out, knowing i didn't have time to brake. i floored it and swerved around them, only missing one by mere inches.
this was one of those split second decisions that if i was wrong i would be eating deer for dinner. out out of an IV.
well Alex knew they ran out and figured there was no way i could have missed them so he slowed down to turn around, but i called him just as he was slowing down
everyone mentioned how it is so much easier to clean off the mud, instead of blood off the car since i did a little off road action missing the deer.

When I first saw the deer, the vette in front of me was kind of easing over to the right (away from the deer) when I see them, my first thought is OH #### im about to hit them.
then i go by and nothing happened, so I tried to point out the deer to Mark.
As I started to go down a hill Mark was coming up on them. The last thing i saw in my mirror was a deer in front of Marks car and Mark sideways in the road!!! That was NOT a good feeling!

City boys! Just kidding. Glad you didn't hit the deer or worse a tree. From now through spring they will be a daily occurrence for me living out in the country. Have deer whistles on the car, but I think they actually attract them. kennyg

As many of you know, the Rocket City Mustang Club abd the Valley Vettes got together for their 5th annual Fall Rally this past Saturday. Although the weather threatened to put a damper on the festivities, several brave souls brought out their cherished vehicles for a good little romp in the Tennessee hills dodging deer and other wildlife. In fact, this year the Mustangs outnumbered the Corvettes! And we also seemed to have picked up a lonely 2010 Camaro.
Check out the pictures from one of the VV members as well as myself. Everyone had a wonderful time! Several Bingo winners also won some very sweet prizes.
