Step 1: Get out a copy of the current Huntsville phone book.
Step 2: Look up catagory Automobile, sub-catagory, Machine Shop.
Step 3: Decide which of the half dozen or so machine shops ads meet your need (resurfacing the flywheel).
Step 4: Grab the flywheel and get in the car/truck you drove to school today and go to the machine shop.
Step 5: Pick up the flywheel after school and go home and put everything back together.
Step 6: Go out and drive your Mustang and be glad that you had the bright idea to get your flywheel resurfaced after getting chatty on the internet.
Any questions? kennyg

I'm really starting to get aggravated. No one seems to be able to order the right part. Autozone - didn't get correct disc. Advance - doesn't know how to order 1 part. Hopefully Napa will pull through with the right part. Should get here Saturday.
Feels like searching for the 1v carb again.

The sales people need to quit relying on the computer and learn how to use a parts catalog. It may take some digging to find the correct part, but there are illustrated guides that accompany each catalog that will allow them to match the original part to the description. Oldschool. kennyg

when the company i work for puts more than 2 people in there and i can actually take the time to look, i pull the catalog, but they think the computer somehow gives them an excuse to cut people out of the process

I still have the disc autozone gave me.
Could you also check the pressure plate number? I want to make sure I got the right parts before I put it all back on and it doesn't work. It is part # CA0578

Tech Tip/Suggestion: When you have located the correct clutch disc and pressure plate, clean a spot on the inside top of your bellhousing and write the part numbers and source with a sharpie, so that you or the next person to work on it can easily locate the parts. kennyg

How does it compare to the original one? Before installing, slide the clutch disc onto your transmissions' splines. You have the 3 speed toploader that was also used behind 289's. kennyg
