This was my 7th parade, same car w/ 6-speed manual tranny, and no issues (knock on wood). Of the eight cars this year, I think all but two/three were manual. Only wear I felt was on my knee from shifting. Good tranny-good parade, good engine-good parade, good fill in the blank-good parade....it's all subjective. Good spirit-good times....
We'll try harder and find an auto-tranny only parade for everyone else :-)

I doubt I will go to the Xmas one, it just depends on how the clutch acts a week or two before.

This clutch has actually been making sounds about a month now, good sign it was going.

Maybe some of you could help me. I am trying to find out if a 79-82 3.3L clutch kit will fit my 67 3.3L. I've asked this question on 2 other forums and no one has helped me.

depends on which clutch im driving, lol. The 68 is no problem, the clutch is good and light, and i could ride in stop and go traffic all day. The Cobra on the other hand kills my knees after being at a stop sign for a few seconds.

The parts were ordered today and should arrive tomorrow. Should have the mustang back on the road before the meeting.

Drive shaft off, reverse sensor off, speedo gear off, tranny mount off, crossmember off, and 4 bolts hold tranny to bellhousing out.

Go crawl back under there and get that thing apart tonight, then you can take the flywheel to get surfaced in the morning! kennyg

Tranny out, bellhousing off, pressure plate off, disc off, flywheel looks good. Also had to take off starter. Getting ready to put the new stuff on.

Just found out my clutch disc spline is too small. So I now have to wait on my grandfather to get home and get his extra clutch disc.

Flywheel 'looks' good? Is it nice and shiney? I bet it is. Wasn't your clutch slipping? Do you have time to take it all apart again after it slips when you put it back together? Better go get that flywheel surfaced. kennyg

I thought I had a picture of it. I don't think it is shiny. I will check when I get back from school.

Well I now have to wait until Thursday or Friday... Special ordered the clutch disc from Advance. Where is a place around here that resurfaces flywheels?
