The Mustang
Had to bail on the parade about half way through. Just a little bit into the parade the clutch started to burn, got worse as I kept on driving. Then if finally decided to start smoking on the hill in front of the court house. So I bailed there and now have to order a new clutch for the coupe.
EDIT: Mike, I will bring the flag and magnet to the meeting next Tuesday.

Hope to have it back and running correctly this weekend. Might replace my tranny mount while I am at it. That has been broken since I have had the car.
My dad, my car interior, and I smell like burnt metal now.

Well just looking, it is probably going to cost about $200 if not more. Going to replace pressure plate, clutch plate, tranny mount, and probably throw out bearing.

Triumphantly back from the hospital with no fever and some great meds! The parade was great and (again) RCMC was well-received as the crowd always seems to ooh and ahh as we pass.
I hate that Jake's car broke down....best wishes for getting it repaired! Toward the back of the line, we were looking at each other and wondering what smelled worse....Jake's clutch or Sam's NOS....lol Mark S. avoided another possible disaster when he realized he was very low on oil and had several quarts brought in just before we took off.
After last year's Eleanor incident and this year's problems, I'm beginning to wonder who jinxed us. Note: Bring exorcist to next parade.

Equipment for club to purchase:
Tow Strap
Car Trailer
Parade Delay Insurance
LOL
A friend of mine's wife was in a movie that was filmed in Nashville 20 years ago, I run across it on cable every now and then but can't remember the name. The 2 main characters spent alot of time behind the wheel of an early classic Mustang. Only problem is the Mustang the film producers aquired had a bad smoking issue. They solved the problem by putting the Mustang on a car trailer and the camera in the back of the tow vehicle. kennyg
