I'm going to the Ford dealer after work. $25 for a pair and I don't have to let Wal-Mart touch my car/wheels.

Good and cheap in the same sentence........?
Seriously, I have always had good luck with the guys at Firestone on Bob Wallace, but need to be there early when they open.

I think alot of Clem (Goodyear) on 72 in Madison and Clem (Goodyear) in Athens on 72.

As far as cheap goes, I think Wal-Mart will do it for $7 a piece.

I JUST had an issue with the bob wallace Firestone. This Saturday I dropped off my car to get an alignment and tires after I put the new front suspension togther.

To preface: when I bolted my steering shaft back together I accidently clocked my steering wheel 90* to the left. Meaning when I was going straight (and the steering rack was centered) the steering wheel was at 9 o'clock.

When the alignment tech went to set the toe he turned the wheel straight and then set toe from there. After picking up the car I attempted to turn right from the parking lot.....this resulted in my steering wheel reaching lock in 1/2 turn and me going into oncoming traffic. Luckily they stopped and I made it out of there. A nice side effect was that I could turn a full circle to the left like you wouldn't believe.

I took the car back and the tech reset the toe but he rushed very quickly. After seeing the specs on the sheet there were alot of things "in the red" with my alignment.

After contacting Firestone via the website and asking to let a different shop take a look at it they told me to take it to the one on old monrovia road. They did a good job of resetting the alignment and said that there was alot of stuff out of wack.

The only heartburn I kinda have is they put some goop on my bolts to show if they are ever adjusted at all. Not that I mind the goop, but I feel it implies that "I" must have changed my settings after I got the car home the first time, not that their tech did a poor job.

I have used Firestone on Old Monrovia 3 times.

1. Took the 928, seemed better at first, then I realized the wheel wasn't straight. I took it back and they said they didn't have proper tools and they should have told me in the first place, they gave me a full refund. (that makes trip #2 but they didn't do anything)

3. Took the Cobra when I saw the Dr front wearing on the outside. I bought the lifetime alignment. By the time the tires were pretty worn, the drivers front (which Was the Rear) had worn on the outside. (Feathered)

After getting the new tires on the Cobra, I took it to Firestone on N. Memorial Pkwy, and stressed the tire wear. There was 1 setting I noticed when they were done and asked if that would have caused the wear, they said Yes. So, it appears Firestone on Old Monrovia is 0 for 2 with my cars. However, I still think they made up for it, with the refund, etc.
