Huntsville Dragway Closing
This was mentioned at the meeting last night. There was also a story on channel 48 tonight. From their website:

George Howard will be closing Huntsville Dragway for the last time on October 26th, 2008.

There will probably be a new subdivision of spec houses built there. I'll miss it, that was the first race track I ever went to, I use to live 1/2 mile from it!!

I doubt that is what they would use the land for in the short term.

Yeah I read that on some local news blog today.. It seems that the original owner who is in his 70's is going to run it.

I'm glad it is still open I want to run my 67 after I finish up the mods. Just hope it stays open until next summer.
