Headlight Switch Q

Puter-Sam-Joe

The headlight switch on my 86lx has 2 plugs into it. ONe is a 7 terminal plug and the other is a 2 terminal plug. The problem is that all the replacement switches are 7 terminal with no place to attach the second plug.

I went ahead and hooked it up with only the 7 terminal plug attached and the second plug just hangs behind the dash. Everything seems to work just fine and I am wondering what in the heck the second 2 termianl plug is for???

Looking at the wiring diagram, if it's a plug with blk/pk and blk wire it's for the "Lights on warning circuit".

ah! very good... It does have the blk/pnk -blk wire. So nothing critical then.. I wont have to worry about it catching fire now.

Thanks guys for all the comments

I really need to invest in one of those wiring diagrams...
