I think Lisa has the right idea on reaching out to other clubs in the area. I like having options of events to attend on the weekends. Maybe this will also increase attendance at our events. Each member should be able to attend ANY event that they choose..

I agree Chad. There will be other RCMC members at the rally.
I plan on being there.

Honestly, I am shocked at the behavior that has been portrayed on this thread. I started this thread as a discussion to enhance club participation and membership. I am sure that if anyone that is not a RCMC member will read this and think otherwise about joining. I am trying my best to increase activities within the club. RCMC has a reputation of doing the monthly meeting and not much else. I want to change that. I would expect a little more professional behavior from adults. I am not going to throw stones at anyone. I think plenty has already been thrown at this point. I try my best to participate in events and represent RCMC as much as possible. This is the same reason I started this thread to begin with. Ralph, if you have a problem with me or something I do or say, please contact me via personal message. As Mark S. said, not for the whole world to see. Thank you Mark S, Chad, Sharon, and Jake for your comments also. I know that the VV/RCMC rally is a yearly event that both clubs participate in. Now, with that being said I have made the following final decision...I will be attending the VV/RCMC rally because it is a RCMC event. I am and have been excited about the rally since I FIRST heard of it at last month's meeting thanks to Vic. I plan on taking a cruise to Barber at a later time. At that point, I will contact the other Mustang clubs that invited us this event to see if anyone is interested in joining us. I hope to see ALL RCMC members at the Barber event. I also look forward to seeing you at the VV/RCMC Rally. This is my final decision, and I will not be participating in any further discussion on this particular topic.
I appreciate the concerns and passion that each of you have expressed, and I understand that without that passion we would not have a Club. I feel we should move forward to enrich and propel the RCMC to future goals. I will always maintain an open door invitation to any member who wishes to express concern or opinions about any area of the RCMC. I hope that each of you will take time to consider the sensitivity and tone of the message as to whether it should be posted or e-mailed privately. Remember, future and current members visit this forum and some issues should be addressed privately and I am here for any member. I hope each of you continue to express your opinions and have the passion you have shown here however, at this time, it is time to move forward. Thank You.

I won't voice my 2 cents except to say I agree with everything you said. I will say this though, to those of you who do not like the direction Lisa is trying to take the club then you should have been at the club meeting when we voted for officers.

I guess I need to work on my communications skills. My first post on this subject was merely to point out a conflict in the schedule and make sure Lisa had all the history behind the VV/RCMC cruise. No one said they didn't like the direction Lisa was taking the club. I wasn't rude. I wasn't complaining. I wasn't bickering. I'm still not.

Cheers!

This cruise seems like it's going to be really nice and have all sorts of enthusiasts from all walks of life:

I know the local Subaru group is already coming to this as well as several other enthusiasts that just want to drive. I think it would be a good one for RCMC members too.

I would like to go but I'm confused. Reading the other site we are supposed to meet in Trussville at 8am but people here are talking about meeting at the Walmart on Hiway 72 and Sparkman at 9am?

We will meet at Walmart at Memorial pkwy and Sparkman Dr at 9 am. We will cruise to (looks like Walmart right now) in Fort Payne to meet up with everyone else. Hope this helps!

To anyone joining in the cruise......there are expected to be a large number of people attending this cruise. Please remember to abide all traffic laws and no carelessness behavior during the cruise. We all want this to be a fun and exciting event.

Cruise is this weekend and there's a good chance we'll bump into a line of Corvettes on the way too:
