craigs list 96 v6 $500 ??? Worth it?
Hey guys.. been a while since i posted on here. But came across this car last night. Since i sold the stang ive realllllly in the past couple of weeks felt it and miss having one. But this ones a 96 v6..looks good from the pics.. but the guy doesnt have a title.. he said you can get one and told me hes willing to put it in writting that if i cant he will refund my money. But I was thinking if he cant get one or I cant.. i could just buy my neighbors 80 coupe and gut it and put everything in it .. he wants $300 for it. Its good bodywise but the interior is dry rotted like crazy.. but heres the link... whatcha think??

Regarding gutting and putting in an '80: Seat tracks should bolt right up, the rear seats might be a little... odd, but maybe could work. The rest of the interior isn't going to fit, without a LOT of work, so I'd probably not do that.
Regarding the title, there's plenty of ways to get a lost title. It happens and the state knows how to deal with it, just gotta go through the hoops. If it's really his (last known owner on record, that is), it won't be an issue, if it's not, it may be "fun" getting to the heart of the matter and getting that title done.
And it needs a water pump, but that's no step for a stepper who knows that dance.
And... it looks like they got a Dr. Pepper for a ebrake handle, which makes me a little suspect of it now.
/ok, the ebrake thing isn't terrible. I mean, it is a Dr. Pepper, which is an awesome beverage, IMO.
