my old car doesnt have chrome wheels. So no i guess i havent been around old chrome wheels

This has nothing to do with wheels. It has to do with chrome period...

Well thats what i ment, but does it look like any of the chrome on my car is original????? So i dont know what happens to chrome after a few decades

Ok the first and second steps are almost complete for the new grille. I have already taken apart and sanded down the grille pieces. And I just sprayed them with Krylon Rust Protector paint. Tomorrow I am going to go get the red and black paint and finish it off by Saturday morning.

It looks good because of the camera. If you look at it in person you can see all of the damage that has been done to the metal. Up next red paint.

I am going to try to get as close to my car color as possible. And the back grille is going to be painted a gloss black. Right now it is flat black.

That still is my plan. If this looks really good, then I will probably keep it. I would be the only stang around with that type grille.
