Here you go.....a genuine Blue/sliver '71 Boss 351. Belongs to a friend of mine in Maryland....I took these pictures and threatened him with hate calls from being posted on the net and eventually shamed him into putting it into a new barn he was building....so now it resides in an actual barn. It COULD be bought...but not cheap. Neat car with a neat history...originally in Hawaii and then went to Northern, VA. He has had it for a LONG time.

You ought to talk your friend out of that one since you don't have that generation in your collection. kennyg
I will never understand why people let cars like this just rot away.
Paul, any pics of your Dan Gurney Special Mercury available?
This car was sort of a barn find without the barn...it sat in a friends back yard for 13 years.....he met a girl and got serious and started selling off cars. I had the choice between this one and a 1 of 6 green 85.5 SVO....I picked this one. It is one of the earliest VIN's in the Registry for the Spoiler II's.

Sure is....'64.....found it by luck. I was dropping off a customers '55 Chevy for storage and it was sitting behind the garage there...the owner had a bunch of cars and had a stroke and his wife was selling off everything since he could no longer work on the cars. Mostly complete and pretty much rust free. Got it back to the shop, changed the oil and stuck a hot battery in it and it fired right up!

i`m doing the motor swap thing again .. a 351 iron head with automatic into the red bean .. a fresh 351 with aluminum heads and 5 speed into the stang .. the old 429 with slipomatic has gotten too tired .. ( and yes i play piano while i play with my toys )
