A Boss 9 is certainly a huge collectable, and it's an amazing barn find. The history behind the KK cars makes it super desirable. Probably the second most desirable Mustang model out there, behind only the GT-350R. I get all of that. What I find most amazing is that true experts value this car at $150k in its present condition. If ALL of the rare parts are there and usable, it will cost another $50k - $75k to restore it to show quality. I guess it would then bring $225k at B-J. Sorry to babble, but it's just mind-boggling to me that any 40 year old Ford can be worth that kind of money. Someday these cars will peak in value and then fall, just like the 57 Chevy and the Duesenburgs before them.

I talked to Ed Meyer yesterday - he's the guy who restored my special paint '69 428SCJ Mach 1. He sold a Boss 429 at BJ this year for $500,000 - and he has 3 more at home! He also has a special paint (Purple!) '69 GT-500 convertible and one of the TWO Boss 429 Cougars produced!
