I have been wondering the same thing myself. Should we postpone for a week or have the show as scheduled. Either way I think we should make the 50/50 a donation to the Red Cross or some other local organization to help with local aide for the tornado relief.

I just got a text from Lisa, and since Sears now has power, the show will go on as originally scheduled. She still doesn't have power.

And I wonder about re-scheduling too. I think by the end of this week we'll be in a full 'trying to get back to normal' mode, and having the show will help people feel like we're getting there.

I am back and going strong!! We got extremely lucky. We did not have any structure damage. Unfortunately, some of my neighbors were not so lucky I hope nobody sustained much damage from the storms. I have something in the works to help out the community, but I do not have a definite yes at this time. I can say that we will have a donation tent set up for those in need. I will post more info as I get it. I hope to see everyone on Saturday!

I have been out working at Carters Gin and East Limestone - there are a lot more places with bad damage than what I thought.
Anything that RCMC could do for tornado victims would be good.

There are hundreds of families in our area that have lost everything they own. I strongly suggest that the club donate ALL proceeds to our neighbors. ALL of the money we raise is donated to use by the community. Woody Anderson and Sears basically pay the bills for our show. Their donation next year will pay for next year's show. This year, ALL of the money needs to go back to the community. We don't need a Christmas dinner fund.

Class breakdown

Hey guys...I noticed on the registration form that the Occasionaly driven class was marked 1969-2009. I have a 2003 stang...will I be up against 99-04 occasionaly driven, or be up against 69-09?

I haven't been to a meeting lately due to work and other commitments, but I strongly agree with Mark's comment. I have volunteered in the Carters Gind subdivision as well and seen a lot of the damage in the Toney\Harvest area and also think all proceeds should go to the local area. I think we can skip one years Christmas dinner to show the community that RCMC helps when its community is hurting.

Beautiful weather! Thank you so much to everyone who came out and helped and/or participated in the car show. We had a wonderful turnout! It would not have been possible without you guys! We also collected so many items for donation to the storm victims. They have already been dropped off. You should have seen their faces when Jennifer and Jerry pulled up! We had a HUGE truck load for them. Thanks, again!
