....still seeking the elusive 87-and-up 302 longblock in decent running condition. Finder's fee paid (if you like beer, that is)

I saw an ad for a 302 in the American Classifieds for $75. Didn't say what year though.

That's a little more than LMan wants to spend.

decent running condition - swap induction, drop in, run (reasonably). Just a stock one will do - '89-93 (would like a roller block, but its not a showstopper)

Would that be more than $75??

*chuckles*
Uh, yeah. $250-300 range.
They may be a "dime a dozen", but they did not literally mean a dime!

I assure you I am not down to the "Mberglo reuses toilet paper" level of frugality yet.

I'm good with your price range.

How about a complete GT40 motor with 96K or another with 91K for $600 only an hour away? I have a pickup truck.

GT40 motor? What heads and intake?

I didn't know that S-10 was good for long trips.

Someone poke Mark with a stick and tell him that GT40 heads come on a GT40 motor.
*grins*

I am checking... I think I may have a pretty good deal if this pans out. If not, I have only kept you in a little suspense for a bit. I was just wondering if that price was good for you. I am needing a good deal bad. Mine is on its last bearing.

Dang, just cannot drive 60 miles with no oil pressure anymore and expect these engines to last.

Here's an add that was in the Morning Paper down here in Florida:

Original Ford 302, was running when pulled out of Mustang, carb & other parts still attached. $450. 1-352-597-3846.

We are approx 40 miles North of Tampa, on the Natures Coast. Good Luck..
