2g to 3g alternator upgrade

Finally decided to upgrade the alternator on the wifes 93LX. The old unit decided to start bruning up wires near the old spade connectors. I figured that repairing an already flawed design was a waste of time. I ordered a 95amp 3G unit from PA Performance along with the small wire kit. Other than strip'n a couple of wires it was a direct plug n play operations. It took me about an hour and 10 min and now its all done.

I did that on the 86 last spring. It was pretty simple other than cutting the alternator bracket for clearance, just because my dremel tool had died.

The new alternators look a lot cleaner as well. Gotcha a little Bling under the hood now, Huh! ;-)
