2007 wheels

I have a 2007 Mustang GT Convertible. I have the stock 17" wheels. I am wanting a wider stance rim and tires. I also want gray of some color, just not chrome or black. I have found 18 x 10" and 18 x 9". What are the pros and cons staggering the wheels? Is there enough difference in the 17" and 18" to pay the difference?

They will help fill in some of the wheel well. Also allow you to run a wider tire in the rear, but you will not be able to rotate them from front to rear. Tire prices change some so I would recommend looking up the differences before buying if you haven't already.

I think a set of GT4s or even Cobra Rs would look really good with your vista blue.

I recommend American Muscle or OE Wheels LLC.

Thanks, Jake! Do you think 18, 19, or 20's would look better? I also like the low profile tire but the wider gets my attention first. I am just trying to weigh out all of my options.

Wheels

My Roush has the Roush 18 X10's with 275/40s all the way around. I love them, and they also ride great. The 20s I've driven on the 05 and ups ride like rocks...but you may not care about the ride.

Only 20" rim I would say that would look good is the Shelby Razor.

I care about the looks of course. I woud prefer the ride not to be too rough. As long as it does not ride like a logwagon, i think I could manage. I lowered the car 2" and the ride is a little rougher now, but it curves wonderful! Does anyone know of anyone with a great deal on gray wheels, any size??

Are you looking for new, used, or does it matter?

Does not matter. I have found wheels that I really like. Here is a link to both of them.

http://www.americanmuscle.com/hyper-...8x10-0510.html

http://www.americanmuscle.com/hyperc...18x9-9410.html

There is approx. 2" clearance from the stock 17" tire to the tire well.

I would rather keep the same size on the front and rear so I can rotate them. On the link to the 18 x 10's, they recommend them only for the rear. Will the 18 x 9's be wide enough? DDoes anyone have pics they can send me?

I want to say this guy is on either this forum or another I am on. I want to say the stock wheels on some S197s are 17x8s and the premium bullitts are like 18x8.5.

So, I have finally decided that I want 18's on my car. Now, I have to decide if I want to run 9's all the way around or 9's in the front and 10's in the back. I know that I will not be able to rotate them, but any other problems with going either way? Any problems with either size since I lowered my car?

Since you like gray you may want to consider black chrome or hyperblack wheels. You can get them staggered in 18". Black chrome wheels are really gorgeous and if mine wasn't a Bullitt I'd strongly consider them. You may also want to consider Bullitt replicas in argent. The argent is dark gray.
