I'm not an engineer, but the stock motor can't take a 550hp output. Ask MRT to stick a warranty onto that and you'll get your answer. FRPP and Roush will offer a warranty to their S/C's if installed when new. Go with a S/C running a moderate boost.

5.4 supercharged GT500 got 21.5 miles per gallon

It offers you an opportunity to use more, but doesn’t necessarily if you drive easily. I just did a 80 mile through the mountains, sea level to 2500 feet and back to sea level highway trip with my 5.4 supercharged GT500. I did an easy 60-ish MPH most of the way, Only stomped on it about 5 times, and I got 21.5 miles per gallon for the trip.

PSH uses a centrifugal blower, makes more than 550 engine horsepower on stock internals, and gets better fuel economy than stock on the highway.

I just got off the phone with Dan from MRT. MRT is still tweaking the prototype of the Bullitt hood and other parts of the RELOAD package. He estimates that MRT is about ten weeks away before the whole package will be available.

I'm glad they are taking their time.
I suspect with the hood they may be having to spend extra time on the CAI seal area

Actually the Ford Racing Whipple on my car kicks it up to 530+ with a "modest tune."

I have read that 550 is near the limit of how much boost the car can handle without going into the engine. I am sure MRT has done extensive testing and set this number for that reason. The question about a warranty is one I would ask about as well.

I can't wait to see pictures of your car Korey and the MRT upgrade package! Makes me wish I could get another Mustang.

Wow, I've never heard of the whipple putting out that much. Freaking sweet! I might not jump into the package, but I might go after the brakes. I think if I did it, it would be a very slow progressive install. I can't wait to see the package.

I don't think MRT would offer the turbo if it wasn't safe. I'm sure they will warranty it. These are not just some idiots working on this car. These guys have a lot of experience in the s197 and sn95 field. A lot of v6 guys go there for a lot of performance upgrades also.

Agreed definitely NOT idiots. Scott Hoag and his team are very good at what they do for a reason. I can't wait to see more on the Reload package.
