Two birds with one stone!!

I tried to sell my 07 Mustang GT Aluminum drive shaft on e-bay and I couldn't get what I wanted. So I installed my first mod in my 08 Bullitt. It is like I am driving the car, with a 1/2 tank of gas @-50LBS !
I am SO glad I didn't sell it !!!
This is the best part of the story, it fixed a problem that came up after the Dealership installed the new tranny.
I had a heat shield noise for about 5 months now at about 3k rpm. It was driving me NUTS!!!
The dealership looked a little bit at the problem ,and they wanted to have me leave it over night. I said I will wait tell winter so I don't have to be without my Bullitt during the summer.
Well, today I did the nice 3500 rpm shift and I had NO noise at any rpm. I tried all kinds of driving and I couldn't get it to make any noise!
I am so happy now. It is like, the coolest car ever!!!

The 05+s definitely benefit from an alu driveshaft. Congrats on your swap. Now try slapping some lighter weight wheels on and another WOW will definitely hit ya.

You have got to be kidding me! I have had this metal rattle at 3,500 RPM and I can't figure out what the noise is. I only hear it under moderate to hard acceleration. It must be a heat shield on the exhaust.

We looked twice and had no luck in finding the noise! I guess I just got lucky.
The noise was about 3k rpm. I wonder if the drive shaft was out of balance

Bingo! I've replaced the driveshaft on every Mustang that I've owned and it's a great mod. If you haven't done it, do yourself (and the car) the favor and put it on your 'to-do' list. While you're at it, add an AL flywheel and some gears and hang on to your butt.

This is the 2nd car that this driveshaft was installed into. The first Mustang I didn't see much of a difference !
But in the Bullitt, It made a BIG difference.
Isn't the flywheel supposed to be heavy to help the engine turn smoothly?
