I like how my shifter works when I am driving my stang around town! It feels good and solid. I feel like a little thud right before it goes into gear. I don't mean a thud noise but a thud feel.
The problem I have is when I am trying to shift fast it is hard to slam it into gear because of that little thud.

 

Sounds as if the RPMs are low for the particular gear or the shifting needs to be done faster.

 

Or the RPMs are high and the transmission's being torqued causing misalignment?
