Shift ****

Anyone ever try taking out their shift ****? I can tmove it at all. Any tips on removing it without damaging it?

It just unscrews. Grab it and turn the **** to the left until it comes off.

yup, just grab hold and turn.

If you still can't get it try one of those rubber jar lid removers for grip

I simply put on a "new" pair of rubber coated gloves and turned counter clockwise with both hands. The **** and collar come off as one piece. Just be mindful if you decide to install an after market ****; there will be some exposed threads showing afterwards.
