Rebates for GTs w/Bullitt Package
It is my understanding that the Bullitt is excluded from the "cash back" offer that runs through the end of March. I'll bet the dealership made a mistake in your favor.
Seriously though good for you, of all people you deserve some sort of compensation
It probably is a mistake, so I have a moral obligation to say something...
lol. Though, I probably will need it once I pass out from finally getting the call to come get it. It shipped yesterday and should be here today or tomorrow!
Korey

Hey, I'll take it. It's $1500 less I need to pay. And even with the price increase, they said that since I ordered the car before the increase, I'll still pay the $205, but they'll cut me a check for the same amount back to me after a week or so... I love this dealership. If the service dept works out, I'm not going anywhere else!
I didn't think the price increase applied if you had a confirmed order before , but then the way your order has gone......
I hope the 'cash back' sticks for you.
They probably gave you a "rebate" to pay for the medical expenses you're going to have after going into cardiac arrest when you finally get the car after waiting FOUR MONTHS for it, the whole time watching the rest of us get ours one after the other after the other.

Mistakes happen. There was a running debate recently about whether a Bullitt could be purchased using the X Plan. The bottom line finally came down to someone on the Ford website not updating to reflect that the Bullitt was ineligible. This was posted by bbf2530 on 2/8:
The following information I verified with AXZD-Plan Headquarters 10 minutes ago: The Bullitt is not eligible for X-Plan purchase. I did not jump in and mention this several days ago to avoid a debate on a subject that you would soon find the answer to, when you visited the Dealer. As of today, the "Ineligible Vehicle List" on the Ford Employee and Ford Partner websites had not been updated since 10/3/07. In reality, while the Bullitt was made ineligible by Ford approximately 1/9/08, it was never actually added to the "Ineligible List" on the websites. An oversight by the website managers.

you guys do realize that the "BULLIT" is a GT!
Look at the sticker....look up top left...clearly says..."2008 MUSTANG GT PREMIUM"
In 2004 when i purchased my mach1 it said "2004 MACH 1"
My point is that the BULLIT/CS are just GT's with an added OPTION...the BULLIT option goes for $3100, and the CS option goes for $1900
ITS A GT!!!!!!!!!!!

update, it has been ran through their invoice guy (whatever the guy is that takes my check) and it checks out... so I don't know what the crap is going on, but it's confirmed. When the car shows up, I just have to sign the papers and check and I'm out of there...
Actually, I just found a PDF dated 2-01-08 that does not show the bullitt as ineligible... I'll get it on here in a sec.
Here it is: Bullitt is eligible as of 2-01-08

I purchsed mine approximately 3 weeks ago on X-Plan. It was in the dealers show room. I seen the invoice with all the plan pricing. If it was not on a Plan this would not show up on the invoice. Maybe I just got lucky.

Yeah, I don't know what is going on. I know the guys on blueovalforums think they are right. But, I've checked with 3 dealerships, my invoice and window sticker have the xplan stuff on them. It's on xplan.
It's my understanding that it was plan eligible in 2007, then at the beginning of 2008 for a few weeks in January it was not eligible, now it is eligible again. There is a thread or two floating around here somewhere from when it all happened, and one on Imboc as well, but I'm too lazy right now to look for them
I agree, but the guys on blueovalforums do not agree. My window sticker has the xplan print on it with my last name, I've seen the paperwork myself with all prices signed off on by the gm, the salesguy, and their invoice guy. I wasn't exaggerating when I said all is left to do is place a few signatures and go. And that pdf I found does not have it listed even though it was dated two weeks ago, so someone at Ford is goofing. It's not the first time we've received bad info from Ford, though.
lol, true. We did come to a conclusion on the blueoval page. I think he was mad that I didn't mention it was ordered, but no one said that it mattered until I said it was ordered. If the vehicle was ordered before 1-09-08, then Ford is honoring xplan purchases. But they think that xplan is no longer for the bullitt... I don't know. Dealers are still saying that are, so who knows...

... and I don't.
