Rebates for GTs w/Bullitt Package

If my interpretation is correct the key phrase in obtaining rebates on the 2008 Mustang GT with the Bullitt Package is "take new retail delivery from dealer stock" which would not apply for those who have ordered but if the car has been ordered by the dealer and it is on the dealer lot then the rebates should apply since it is part of dealer stock.

There are no excemptions or restrictions listed as there were last year with the Shelby GT, prior to it being included in the rebate program.

apparently the Bullitt is not included.

As long as a vehicle is listed in dealer stock, which they all are, special order or not it would apply if not an exempt model.

Too bad the local dealers have ADM's on them and the options I don't like on the ones listed in stock... seen and hate the Sat. radio antenna when that service is not even available here.

the bullitt is included unless it says otherwise, and yes, you'll get the cash back, even from a special ordered car since it is considered "stocK" when it arrives. I got rebates on my 07 v6 that I special ordered.

I called Ford around the end of January and they said it applies to the Mustang GT - not special editions ones like the Bullitt or Shelby. She specifically said no, the Bullitt is not included. I was calling to check up on my salesman who already had said no rebate, no special financing on the Bullitt.

I just pulled this listing of retail cash rebate offers from Ford's dealer website today and Bullitt/Shelby models do not get the rebate (or special financing) that the V6/GT models get...

What is the logic in Ford not including the exceptions of incentives on their site?

My assumption is that Ford's internet guru who updates their website is not as much a guru of current Ford incentive details and nuances.

On my website (that I maintain for our dealership), you can bet that excluded models are clearly posted so there are no misunderstandings. Here is how I have it worded...

For a limited time, Ford is offering the following incentives on 2008 Mustangs...
  • $1,500 Cash Rebate (included in the prices shown at our website), or
  • No rebate with 1.9% interest for 36 months, or
  • No rebate with 2.9% interest for 48 months, or
  • No rebate with 3.9% interest for 60 months, or
  • No rebate with 5.9% interest for 72 months.
  • Does not apply to Shelby or Bullitt Mustangs.

Ford also has the wrong interior pictures on the Bullitt page, it shows an interior with the GT steering wheel. Their internet people have a few problems.

Whoops, my bad. Double-checked the inventory none of the Bullitts here have them. Glad they're not on these Bullitts after all... but, I have seen GTs here with the darn SAT radio antenna festooning the trunk lid. It is darn ugly, that's for sure. As for why local dealers would order that option? Who knows? Just like who knows why of the 3 Bullitts known to be on Oahu, the dealers chose 2 black ones to 1 DHG? Sorry, IMO it's got to be DHG! (Seen the black one up close, gotta check out the DHG one when time permits)

At least the sat. radio antenna wouldn't be as visible on the darker cars, especially the black ones.

Guess it depends on whether you want to listen to the music, sports, news, etc. that Sirius radio has to offer. And if so, whether you value that over a cleaner look to the trunk lid. (Although some may think that the satellite device on the trunk gives the car more of a hi tech look a la the Knight Rider Mustang) I think it is similar to all the discussion that goes on over splash guards or no splash guards on a Mustang. It is a question of valuing function over pure looks. IMO since I am going to drive my Bullitt as a daily commuter and want to enjoy my time in it to the max, I want the Sirius radio - it is the mud flap for my soul!

Seems most Black Bullitts have been ordered by Dealers. Black Mustangs sell well, that was probably their only consideration.

more details please... was this noted on the window sticker? Or a separate 'mail in' form? I put 3k down and financed the rest - no $1500 rebate info anywhere. But if I can write Ford to get a rebate back... let me know how to do it! Thanx!!

Very interesting. Is the Invoice from the dealer or from Ford?

I'm wondering if the dealer has applied it to their invoice to you thinking it applies?

Hey, I'll take it. It's $1500 less I need to pay. And even with the price increase, they said that since I ordered the car before the increase, I'll still pay the $205, but they'll cut me a check for the same amount back to me after a week or so... I love this dealership. If the service dept works out, I'm not going anywhere else!
