I have a tomtom and that thing is great if you don't know where you're at and you need to call in an emergency or something. It tells you where you're at. Also, it will tell you where pretty much any store, restaurant, etc. is at in the city you're in. AND... you can turn off the voice. yay!

Mike,

Call Steve Rubin @Freeway. They defintitely have one coming in next week...he called me yesterday to see if I wanted it. I ordered mine, and had it put on the "special car list" by a friend with a connect up at Ford (whatever that means). Plus...my name is on the window sticker, since I ordered it on Z plan, so I told him I'd rather just wait 'til mine gets here in mid-Jan.

I'm getting $33,705 for the Bullitt from the Ford wesbite's build your own vehicle tool. This is loaded except for the girly GPS map thing.

What kind of deal can I get off of that price? Any incentives for paying 100% cash?

Mike

It depends on the dealer - how much they want to deal, and also your region - some parts of the US get better incentives than others - Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan get more incentives than Chicagoland.

I think the Bullitt is currently excluded from Ford incentives, but I'm not certain. All the current incentives are set to expire on January 2, 2008. I'm guessing they'll be renewed, but I'm not certain.

Good luck on the deal!

Dealer's make money on financing. I wouldn't expect to see any discount for cash, it just makes them take you more seriously when negotiating.

Hey Mike, if you want to know what the incentives are for your area, send me a PM with your ZIP code. I can tell you what is available and IF its available on a Bullitt. Now that I have VIN numbers to go off of, I can see if any rebates/APR rates are good on the car. Let me know if you need any help.

Agree 100%. The dealers make more if you finance, and the salesman typoically get's more comish too. In fact the dealer usually gets a financing quote from the bank/financing entity, and bumps the rate at least a couple of points!

Maximum bump in rate is 3% in Washington, but rates are negotiable. A buddy of mine recently bought a car where I work and I secured him a great rate through a bank and talked our finance guy into giving him the same rate that we got from the bank ("buy rate"). Most dealers will try to get a 2% bump, but many are happy to get even 1%. It's quite rare to see a dealer so bold to try to get the full 3%, or to give away the rate with 0 bump.

That said, keep in mind that the dealers can often times get a better buy rate than you can at your own bank, so the dealers can often get you the same rate you could have gotten on your own, while still keeping a bump for their own profit (win-win situation).

Oh really? hrmmm... thanks for the unintentional help Brian.

You just (hopefully) solved a dilemma I've been trying to work out in my head all morning!

Hey Mike, you should give this dealer a call (713-802-6634). He is in Houston proper off I-10. I ordered my Bullitt back in mid October and this guy is so far ahead in customer service, I can hardly believe it. He has gone way out of his way on more than one occasion. It also helps that he owns many SVT's, so he understands what this car means to us.

Hey Mr. Sinister, when you get your car, can I check it out? I live just up the road in Friendswood, FM528 & Bay Area.

Edit:
Whoops, I did not realize there was an entire section on the 2008 Bullitt Mustang. All the links I had, were already posted.
