"... producing 720 HP and an electronically governed 811 lb.-ft. of torque (974 lb.-ft. of twist would be available if it wouldn't tear apart the rear diff and liquify the tires). On your way up to the 224 MPH top speed, you'll pass 62 MPH in just under four seconds..."

That's insane. They could call it the ENZO if they want, and would probably kick its butt too.

Yup, with those numbers they could call it any way they wanted. Just race them for the name, if you dare.

Good slap in Ford's face, though. That's what you get for postponing the official launch and being so **** secretive about what's basically only going to be another "stripes n' scoops" package.

How did they postpone the launch?? Also, god forbid that Ford doesn't share their future products with YOU and every other whiner on the internet......How dare they be so secretive????
I swear,if you people hate the Bullitt so much, why don't you go ruin another forum????????????????????????????????????????????
Wait and see, wait and see, wait and see.........what's so hard about that?? I can't wait, this car, like every other car anybody has thrown a premature fit over, will be better than what was expected and then i'll have to put up with all of you losers crying over how long it's taking for YOUR Bullitt to be built.........................................:doh :

Eh, people are just disappointed the Bullitt isn't going to be a 350-450 HP powerhouse. Why they ever thought it might be, I don't know. I guess they're just aching for a bridge to gap the void between the GT and GT500 and the Bullitt isn't going to do that.

As long as it's priced accordingly, I personally don't see the Bullitt being "just" a tweaked GT as being that inappropriate. That's essentially what the '01 Bullitt and the original movie '68 GTs were.

Anyway, I do think that the naming of the "BRABUS Bullit" is silly, though being as nice a car that it is.

I wonder, doesn't Ford have a copyright on that name? It may be irrelevant even if they do, unless the BB is actually in production...

Ford does not. It pays an agreed upon fee for the use of the copyright name to the Steve McQueen estate. I am not sure if Warner Bros has a stake in the use of the name or if the McQueen estate has sole rights.

Chill, dude. All the name calling isn't gonna convince me you're right (or smart for that matter).

I was (again) showing personal disapproval of the way Ford decided to pimp out the Mustang with appearance packages while giving Shelby exclusivity on the performance models.

If you have a problem with anyone expressing a personal opinion, then you're not worth a second of my time.

If you were (again) showing personal disapproval of Ford, then why are you (again) on this forum? Maybe if you didn't have such a smug tone,I wouldn't have a problem with your opinion. It's like you want the Bullitt to fail no matter what the car is like......all this based on "inside" info that's meaningless until we see the real thing.
I want to learn about the Bullitt, that's why i'm here. I'm not here to wade through 8 pages of *****ing and moaning because Ford can't personalize every Mustang to suit every buyer. You and people like you aren't happy with anything and You and your kind clog up every message board on the internet.

On the very contrary, hence the disappointment.

Perhaps he was seeking your lashing and scolding or perhaps he could not find you at MoveOn.org, widely known for its withstanding commitment to democracy and free speech.

Actually, it sounds to me as though he's more likely a member of the American Enterprise Institute, George.

First off ... I really don't give a rat's *** whether you think it's clogging up a message board or not ...

LONG LIVE FREE SPEEECH ... GOD BLESS HOWARD STERN !!!

Second ... I'll freakin' HAMMER the 2008 BULLITT as much as I feel is necessary and don't care whether you like it or not.

FORD SCREWED US BIG-TIME ... AGAIN!

We can't even get the "option" of a higher perfomance 5.4 engine and/or T56 tranny ... WHAAAAAAAAAAAT ???

Third ... You really want to learn about the 2008 BULLITT ... GO ASK FORD ~ THEY WON'T LIE TO YA ... (ROFLMAO)

And YESSSS ... If Ford won't do the 2008 BULLITT the way they should after they had 7+ years to do it better the second time around AND treat the buying public better (like they did in 1969) then as far as I am concerned the 2008 CAN FAIL TO THE POINT OF NO PRODUCTION ~ !!!

And whoever the SCREWBALL from here is that wrote me about a week ago a bunch of RHETORIC saying I am the "only person who thinks the 2008 BULLITT should have a 5.4" can go and SOAK YOUR SIMPLE HEAD!

HAVE A NICE LIFE YOU 4.6 FEEBLE-MINDED SUCKERS
