I finally got tired of waiting and jumped on the 0% bandwagon and bought an '07. I had been on the fence between buying a no-option car to build up for the road course, or waiting on the Bullitt, which I would not have wanted to modify. The 0% pushed me off the fence. I also was afraid I was going to be disappointed in the Bullitt. Maybe when it comes out I'll wish I had waited, but I don't think so. Ford still got my money (hope you're enjoying your $28 million dollar paycheck, Mulally), and now there's one more Bullitt available for those who want one.

Well done, go for it. You can wait and wait but you have to jump on the train at some point and this is how I am feeling with the 2008.

Ok so some of you might think I am being a bit harsh with the pre info on the 2008.
But this is frustration as well. I have had my name on a list (non-existent) list for a year, with cash waiting, while listening to all the presumptions.

There have been posts asking for 01 owners to post up their wants, "Because Ford read these posts" and it will shape the 2008. BS.

I did not expect much from the engine due to cost and production line issues but I was hoping for a Ford Racing cold air kit and an engine brace. I was thinking it might be along the lines of the 2006 Hertz Rental with some tweeks and gears.
I feel this was realistic and achievable without going too mad and then add a few hints of the 01.

On the subject, How many of you got to rent a Shelby Hertz
and What did you think of it ?
Pity it was auto but other than that it had a great feel to the car. I had one for 3 days. This was not too far off what I would like to see with the 2008

While watching the Bullitt movie, notice how both cars seem to do "a lot" of shifting, especially where there is no need to shift. They almost take on an 8-speed tranny of sorts. A high and low for each gear! But hey, that's what the crowd wants I guess.
The "high" on each gear you were descibing was usually the secondaries on the four barrel kicking in. I miss four barrel carbs, hehe.
