How long should I wait?
I am a kid of the 60's and I can't wait to see what my new Hot Rod can do "2008 Bullitt"!
I have 1200 miles on it now and I am dieing to see what a 3000 drop will make her do!
It doesn't spin much , but then I guess that is good for launching

Why does it take a 3000 rpm dump to get a fast take-off? It seems that on my '02 GT, all I had to do was roll out and simultaneously give it gas and slip the clutch to take-off. The tires would spin (slightly) all through first gear. Is the traction that much better than in the '02?
By the way, this week I did a slow roll-out and then stomped it. When the revs got up to over 3500 the tires started spinning till just before 2nd gear. This was with the traction control on. Anyone else try this?

If I was to race the Bullitt on the track and I do mean IF !
I don't think a 3000 rpm dump would be good. That is way too much wheel spin! A lot of time lost in spinning. I have to admit that it sure was fun. If I do that too much the tires won't last the summer
I tend to baby my Stang so I don't think I will doing too much of this in the future

More than likely the horsepower and gearing differences.
Besides the higher RPM you can hook up at on launch the quicker you will launch. You want to be into your power band not working to get there.

Easy now! Those rear tires are about $400/pair. I always thought the harder you were on a car during the first 500 miles, the faster the car would be during its lifetime. I havent gotten on mine, still only 28 miles and for sale $29,950.
