How Do I Go About Preordering a 2009 Bullitt?

Hi guys,

I live in southern california (near LA)

I read the that around 5,000 bullitts were built in 2008 and to fufill the order another 2,000 or so will be built in 2009

How can I got about securing a custom ordered 2009 bullitt from my local ford place?

Are they all preordered already or can I go into my dealer and preorder one for 2009? (It's June 2008 now)

The only custom thing I will ask for is probably the black paint over the green.

I've never "preordered/reserved" a special edition car so I would like to know how it works, and if it will even be available to preorder due to the popularity of it. Would I need to put down some sort of pre-payment or anything special?

Also the MSRP seems to be around 33,000 dollars. Will I pay this price or a high premium over it?

Any help will be appreciated, thanks

I'm not sure?
I would think that it would be like ordering a Mustang GT ,you should go to your local Dealership and order a Mustang Gt with the Bullitt package. There is only 6 options I think available for the Bullitt and two colors

is it really that simple?

I was under the impression that since its a limited run of 7,000+ it might be hard to order one from local dealer or if they even have stock left for 2009

There are plenty of '08s available. I would think it would be easier to deal for a 2008 perhaps a few hundred dollars over invoice or X-Plan as many have gotten, providing you are eligible for it than ordering.

Try here:

Auto Trader - http://www.autotrader.com select "Find Your Car", provide the required info then select "Keyword(s)" and type in "Bullitt"

eBay - http://motors.shop.ebay.com/Cars-Tru...-1&_fpos=78238

Ford - http://www.fordvehicles.com/ select "Locate A Dealer", provide the requested info then search dealers' inventories.

Thanks 1 bullitt

also don't yell at me for this (hehe) but can an auto tranny be added to the bullitt? I've read all are default manual and all the selling ones are manual but at a few websites I was able to "customize" a bullitt package with an auto tranny for 625 more. Is this possible or an error from the customization website?

thanks

A/Ts are for wimps and women.

My wife's car has a A/T and to top it off it's a vert!
You're not looking for a A/T vert Bullitt are you?

What? Did you think I was being argumentative, confrontational, or trying to pick a fight?
FYI, I am a recipient of TMS's "Nicest Guy Award" five years in a row!

We just can't have enough nice guy's in the world!
I didn't mean that. NO NO NO
Many people tend to put people down for having automatics. The automatics that Ford uses on the Mustangs are Great!

This is pretty wierd, alot of ford dealerships around my area allow me to add the "bullitt package" to a 2008 gt premium for 3,300 and add auto transmission for 625 effectively making an auto-bullitt

is this the real bullitt or some rip-off package?

How is this possible?

According to the order guide, the Bullitt option and the auto cannot be ordered on the same vehicle. I am sort of in the same boat. I have a dealer who has treted me very fairly but he has no Bullitt's. I want to trade my 05 vert, and he is trying to get one released form another local dealer. According to the ford website, there are a lot of 08s available.

Sounds about right. I had to pay $3000 for ADM. I'm not happy about it but I am very happy about my BLACK Bullitt. I love black and also making it a Bullitt is perfect for me.
I would hope if you special order the Bullitt you won't have to pay a ADM.
Hid headlamps are cool. I wouldn't have ordered them but they were on my Bullitt. I don't think I would order a car with out them now that I owned a set

Possibly, a misinformed dealer.

As we all know, that is very unlikely and infrequent occurrece but it can happen from time to time... to time... to time... to...

New A/T, shifter, pedals, console parts and mods, tuning, reflashing, and labor. How about a bargain round figure of $4K?
