I'm digging the Bullitt grille and especialy with the GT/CS front fascia. I'll be pretty peeved if Ford releases the bullitt with the Gt/CS fascias and a spoiler delete, b/c that would look JUST LIKE MY CAR and I'm not even getting any promo love.

I do like the grille though.

Any other pics of the Billet, not Bullitt, grille? That pic doesn't look bad, but hard to get a good feel for how it looks onthe car.

I'm thinking either may look pretty good on my pony. I migt be leaning more toward the bullitt though, as it may be cleaner, which is kind of the look I have gone for...

futuresvt, I'm having a hard time deciding which one I like better also. I had been leaning toward a black billet grille for my car, but now that I see the Bullitt grille, I'm torn. I like the factory look of the Bullitt grille I think... it would look nice paired up with an SHR trunk panel.

Here's a poll for you:

o FORD'S TENTATIVE BULLITT GRILLE

o SHELBY AUTOS' DOUBLE GRILLE

Take your pick.

The grille looks good - the faux chrome trim makes it very "Bullitt"-like. The scoop, however, has gotta go. Give us the twin vents.

Only problem is that if it is the one in the 2008 catalog, it's a V6 grill.

heres the "billet" grille. this one is not chromed. I took the black "billet" grille and put chrome trim around the lip, then attached a 1973 pony emblem to it

Sooo not worth the wait. I was ready for some Steve McQueen looking mod's, and ended up getting parts from differnt model mustangs. I mean seriously I am a Ford person through and through, but have the designers just gone totally laxed? Not a single thing on this car screams "original". It's just like they felt a change of pace was not in order. If anything, they should have given the car hood vents, chrome round mirrors, and flush louvres. I mean your customers are gonna be paying like $30,000 for this limited edition. Give us something more for our buck.

Ford, can we stop with the non-functional hood scoops already? Where in the history of classic muscle cars has there ever been a non-functional hood scoop?

What would be "Steve McQueen looking"?

This thread is about the grille only, not the rest of the car. No one outside of Ford is 100% certain what we will get regarding the hood or louvers.

Probably for cooling reasons (to direct the airflow rather than let it diffuse through a larger open area)...stylistically ain't so pretty though.

Hope you are doing OK!

Since it was a Ford Accessories car, the scoop was the standard GT appearance package scoop.

I agree that they should open the egg crates in the grill but other wise I like it a lot. It's clean and simple, though I wont be getting one for mine anytime soon as I will never part with my air brushed pony

To name a few off the top of my head: '67 GTX,'70-'74 'Cuda & Challeger with the standard power bulge hood and I dont mean the SHAKER HOOD ( it had 2 non functional scoops) '68 Road Runner (they became functional in '69 when the AIR GRABBER option was ordered),1969 Mustang ( my aunt had a '69 coupe with a 302 2v that she bought new), '71-'73 Mach 1, '69-'70 Torino, '66-'67 GTO (unless you ordered the RAM AIR option otherwise it was not functional). That's just to name a few but I'm sure there were more.
