Bullitt X-Plan

For those in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama looking to order a Bullitt and who are eligeble for X-Plan I can provide the name of the salesman and dealer in north Florida (approximately 90 miles south of the GA-FL states' line, off I-75) who will honor it. The X-Plan eliminates dealer and ESP/EPP (whatever that is) fees from the deal as well. The total savings prior to additional options is $2,5553.00. Available rebates in place at the time of delivery would also apply.

The requirements are a pin number, the last four digits of the SS#, driver's license, credentials from the employer such as a company ID, and a $500.00 deposit. PM me if interested.

I thought ESP was extended service plan?

X-plan is a great deal, there are quite a few dealers who will accept it, just have to ask.

BTW George, how is your order doing?

The car arrived, the dealer got greedy, complimented their professionalism, wished them von voyage, and placed the order today with the above dealer. Pending no delays it'll be late March.

Yes it did, it arrived at the dealer almost four weeks ago.

Actually the dealer did me a favor. My offer was halfway between invoice and MSRP which was a handsome profit if the holdback and a $400 dealer fee is taken to account. As it turns out I'll wind up saving $1,500 below my original offer. $2.5K off MSRP with the possibilty of a rebate is worth the wait.

Yes that's worth the wait.

The first dealer must have already had that car in the system to get it that fast.

The holdback on the car I bought was $945. In addition to that there was a $94 fee the dealer subtracted from the Invoice total to get his Invoice price.
I'm not sure what the $400 you mention fee is.
The dealer gets something like $475 from Ford for X-plan. Although the plan guide says they get the difference between A plan and X plan, which is more than $475.

I got a good deal and they are happy that's all that matters.

It's the dealer fee also known as the Administrative Fee or the $399 dealer car wash which includes the removal of protective plastics and the addition of dealer stickers. The average is mostly $399. I have seen them as high as $599 in larger cities. A small percentage of Ford dealers in Florida usually with the "one price" approach do not charge those fees.

The dealer can still charge you a "doc" fee, max $75, on plan sales. They recently changed that provision (used to be $0).

OK I understand. it's not a 'Ford' fee. Some dealers call it a 'PDI' fee.
Here it's often about $100. Apparently though I think Ford considers PDI included already.

The VOC I have for my GT/CS is showing a $420 FDAF Assessment which is a Ford Dealer Advertising Fund. Perhaps that is the $400 fee that is mentioned?

Too bad you have to put up with dealers charging silly fees like that. The nice, quiet little dealership I work for collects just four things on top of the sales price: 1) state sales tax, 2) state licensing fees, 3) state title fee of $9, and 4) state document fee of $50. That's it! No silly paperwork or prep fees. No hidden charges. It's nice to work at an ethical place after hearing about so many places that aren't.
