Bullitt Strut Brace Question

Does anyone know if the Bullitt strut tower brace will clear the FRPP/Whipple supercharger? I know it's a little early, but it looks like it has a different (larger) "hump" in the middle. Ford was supposedly working on a brace that would clear their supercharger and I wondered if this was it.

i have posted this question on several sites.

my first thought was the kb 2.1 that fit in between the engine of the mach 1 and the shaker system. i know for a fact that there is not much room between these two items.

i dont want to lose the stock cold air system on the bullitt either. so i will probably wait for twin screw specifically designed for the bullitt. either that or go with a comp cam boss 330 racing heads and long tubes. i think i would be able to get above 400hp n/a at the crank with those mods.

still the idea drag racing the m6 is sweet!

I think it's in the $4500 range for the 400HP unit and $6000 for the 500HP kit. Check with your local FRPP dealer to confirm for sure.

yes i called both kb and whipple! kb has no idea, the 2.1 is what fits under the shaker on the mach 1 and the 2.6 is there newest one will not fit under the shaker. whipple 2.3 replacement on the gt500 will not fit under the stock hood.

the big problem is that no one knows how much space there is in the new bullitt. and someone will need to take the intake plenum off, measure from the remaining engine deck to the strut brace. with the intercooler and blower going on top of the engine it will be a tight fit even for a small top blower.

will the gt500 tvs blower work? that fits under the gt500 strut brace.

If you went with the non-intercooled unit (400HP), perhaps this would clear the brace. I'm sure there will be someone who'll come out with a fix of some sort. Not sure about the tvs GT500 blower.

I should have a Strut brace by Early January. I will Check Clearance on My 500. Also We have a Bullitt on Order and I will get some Measurements on a Stock Application!

Stay Tuned!
