Pic or not, we need the countdown timer at the top of this section, as we're less than a year away from Job 1 (supposedly), now.

Gigiddy.....

C'mon, Ford minimize the chrome and faux whatevers slapped on! IMO, that's not an "SE" since that doesn't truly make the car special.

But by god they better leave that dang hood scoop off!
At this Time the Cataloging is Indicating Standard Front Fascia. Not GT/CS Fascia. But it is Still pretty Early.

Design / engineering has to be finalized a year before production starts.

Same pads and rotors, though. The picture is firming up of a car that is all show but little go.

At least it will have a Positraction. The Real Bullit was a one Legger! Don't want to be Too Accurate! LOL! We still got a long way to go for final Details and at least you know my information is based on Actual Ford Info and not Hype.

This doesn't sound good.
It needs bigger brakes, which means larger rotors and pads.

Then we would Have more Wheel Clearance Issues as we do with the Shelby Brakes. It would Force Ford to Come up With another Wheel which would Clear a Larger Brake Caliper which I doubt Ford would Want to Foot the Bill For. I would Guess to stay True to the Bullitt Theme they are Going to want to Use an Existing Bullit Wheel. This Info is speculation on my part though.

i've been thinking on this for a while in my own mind, and i gotta say, i hope you're wrong on this one. Back when the '01 Bullitts came out, the wheels were the hottest things around, no doubt. But after that, they became standard issue on every new GT, which, imho, sucked becuase it took away from the unique-ness of the Bullitts.

I hope they create an all new wheel for the upcoming Bullitts. If they can create something new and exciting while staying true to the basic Bullitt/Torque Thrust design of things, and make room for bigger/better rotors/pads... they'd have something unique and special again.

Maybe they'll use a different finish on the wheel.

Like that 'Midnight Silver' that I wanted ... couldnt wait for... and went out and bought Black Chrome bullitts from AFS

Remember that Ford is in a cash crunch right now. They just borrowed $18 billion and are considering selling off Jaguar and Land Rover. So spending a lot of money on a low-production Mustang variant is probably not going to happen.

It looks like to me, based on the info we're getting from 05stangkc, that the Bullitt is going to be basically an appearance package on the GT, with some little trinkets thrown in and maybe a small horsepower boost and some handling upgrades like the Shelby GT. I do hope they sort out the suspension, though, since the Shelby is getting hammered in the buff books for it's harsh ride.

I still like the idea of the Bullitt being a minimalist car, like the '68. The less it costs, the more money I have for upgrades. And I can do the upgrades I want to do, not the ones Ford forces down my throat.
