Bullitt Features Question
I understand though that because of Canadian Regulation, Shelby GTs were also not available in Canada. Something about since they had been altered by Shelby crash standards wer in question. I'm not sure I believe that either.

I think that's what I found disappointing (and baffling). With the nice additions to the Bullitt interior (machine turned dash, thick wrapped steering wheel, etc), why REMOVE the option for the wrapped and stitched dash...and why make heated seats unavailable? Both are now available on the GT500, so it clearly wasn't strictly a performance decision.

I suppose if they didn't want to add the other items, probably to keep the package cost down to buyers, they could have created a 'Bullitt Premium Interior' option that included them.
The original reason the GT500 and Bullitt seats did not have the heating option available had to do with their unique "performance" design and extra bolstering, and no provisions for the heating being designed in to the originals.
Why they haven't added it by now may simply be the fact that most people who have these cars won't be driving their special edition Mustangs much in the winter. Ford simply might not see too many people ordering them with heated seats...
For me, I did not order heated seats that were available in my otherwise loaded 2005 F-450 XLT Lariat 4x4 that is my winter ride, I would not have ordered heated seats in my GT500 or my Bullitt if available either.
Now automatic temperature control is another story. I do not have a clue why that (already existing technology & ZERO extra weight) option is still unavailable in the upgraded interiors on Mustangs.

His point was why arbitrarily delete one set of convenience features while including another? Why not just offer both? On balance (and I'm purely guessing here) it's quite likely more customers opt for the comfort group and premium trim than the NAV feature.
Doesn't make any sense to me, either. That was always my problem with the car: in addition to being too plain on the outside, Ford chose to omit features available on the GT. If Ford had done the Bullitt exterior more along the lines of MRTs reloaded package, and left the comfort and premium options available, I probably would have waited and bought one.
Ah well...

For 2008, the GT500 did not have heated seats in the US either. I'll have to find a US 2009 GT500 order guide to see if it now shows up, but I doubt it since the Canadian GT500 doesn't.
Read my other post. Ford could have offered a 'Bullitt Premium interior package' like they do a 'GT500 Premium interior package' that offers wrapped and stitched dash, arm rests, and dash pad.
Who knows why they didn't.

There have been hints that the 2010 Mustang might have an automatic temperature control system.I don't know that I'd have ordered such a climate control system in the Bullitt, but I might have ordered the stitched dash etc.

Interesting...when I ordered my Bullitt through the AAFES in Germany, heated seats were an option going by the drop-down menu options on the dealer's computer.
Obviously when the car arrived they were no-where in sight...
Oh and HID lights are illegal in Germany too - if I'd ordered them installed I'd have been forced to replace them with 'normal' headlights for the German TuV inspection prior to registering.
