What do you think of the texture on the Bullitt's dash?

I originally questioned the look of this dash as it was so "Trans-Amish", but the more I see it, the more I like it. I think it is a perfect way to throw yourself back to the '60's as it is hardly a new design.
This is the only area of the car I was really unsure about. But the more I've seen of it the more I like it. For sure it helps to set the car apart from others.
Everyone I've shown pictures of the car to loves the dash.

It is actual aluminum- so this isn't some cheap dash treatment.
There designers of this car really did put a lot of effort into it. I'm glad some people can see that and give them credit.
Lot's of losers quickly dismiss the car- I'll bet none of them have the slightest clue how much work and effort goes into making these cars?
They all think you just cram a huge HP engine into and make it go real fast.
No understanding of all the factors that actually need to be met in order to successfully bring a car to market.

The dash looks exactly like it was lifted from a trans-am. I definitely haven't regretted not waiting for any of the special editions when I ordered mine.
We're not talking about bringing a new car to market in this thread. We're talking about what it took to make this special edition. And in this case, not much beyond a new faux gas cap, a new dash applique and a new gauge applique. There isn't any re-engineering involved here.

This is the FIRST production mustang from Ford with a CAI- and the **** thing will run on reg. or premium, it adjusts automatically. Can you name any other car that can do that?
You've got 3.73 gears, improved shocks and struts for better handling than the GT or the SGT, amazing exhaust, improving braking performance, GT500 seats and steering wheel and much more.
I don't mind people voicing an opinion but when folks just dismiss the car by saying it's just a sticker job- they make themselves look completely foolish, and their comments are born out of anger and not intelligent comment.
You make it sound like it's just stickers and paint. Have you been reading any of the reviews?

This is probably the same.
It runs on high octane and pulls timing when the knock sensor senses knock. Big deal.

What the heck is so "amazing" about the exhaust. Better..yeah.
From the descriptions I've read and heard it's more than just that.
Does anyone know for sure what tehy did? According to Ford it's a new terchnology.
Octane knock is not good to the life of mod engine.
People need to at least read up on the Bullitt before bashing it. This thread certainly isn't the first one I've seen where people have a predilection to bash it despite having no clue what they're talking about.
Anyway, I could take or leave the engine turned dash. I don't hate it, but I think I would've been just as happy with a black dash. With that said, many classic cars sport such a dash, so the silly Trans-Am comparisons attempting to suggest that such a dash is simply and exclusively a gaudy relic of the mid-'70s are once again a display of ignorance. The Trans-Am was hardly the first or only car to feature such a dash, folks. Not that I love it, but the engine turned dash is pure classic retro as far as I'm concerned.
