Go to the A/D/X/Z plan page, then click on the Rules tab. Scroll down to section 6 (Pricing and Incentives). It's the very first sentence...

The New Vehicle Purchase Program customer is entitled to the price in effect at the time the vehicle was invoiced.

Not sure if we can interpret this to mean that a plan price is still good even if it is later not offered, but I think you'd have a great case for Ford to make an "exception" either way. Exceptions are handled on a case by case basis for programs and incentives.

I'm not sure how to check that, but it arrived on our lot on the 9th. A day after this crap went into effect. So it was built before this happened.

I remember it was on the train for a long time.
I think if you check OASIS it will show the actual build date.

Thats GREAT news for everyone that was promised plan pricing. Maybe all the sales people calling to there reps got it changed and Ford finally listened to their customers.

Well, I'll be! I just double checked and Bullitts are no longer excluded from any of the plan pricing by Ford! Great news, Airwolf!

Heck, the order hasn't even been pulled yet, so I have no VIN, ETA, or anything! My wife is not very keen on the idea, as I've put a few grand into modding my 07 GT, so it may not happen.

I do have the possibility of picking up a '69 Mach 1 in the next week or so. If I buy that car, then the Bullitt is out for sure, as I'll need the funds for the Mach 1 instead. It's a base 351 Windsor car, but it's a 4-speed manual trans, at least. It's a complete car, but it needs TLC. I really have a thing for Mach 1's (I've owned two of them), so this sudden opportunity has me reeling.

Yes you are in a quandary for sure.

The '69 is a nice car.

OK, I'll throw my 2 cents in here If you already have a modded 05+ GT, then you already have an 05+ GT. Why buy another? Get the Mach, it's totally different, and besides, those opportunities are few and far between. JMO.

You are absolutely correct. And I've always wanted a 1969 Mach 1. That is kinda like my holy grail of Mustangs (not that Boss and Shelby Mustangs aren't nice, but the Mach 1 has always been my preference). First car I ever owned when I was just a kid (16) was a Pinto-based '75 Mach 1. Not much performance, but it was what I could afford at that age. Bought a new '03 Mach 1 when they came out. Absolutely loved it (and yes, should have kept it), but I have the 07 GT now. The '69 Mach 1 I'm considering will need work and will be a long term project, but it would finally satisfy that itch. Too bad it's a 351-W car, but the 390's and 428's out there are too expensive for me at this point. Besides, this one will be more about cruising around and car shows instead of racing (like the '07).

Still can't wait to see the black Bullitt when it arrives.

I would go for the '69 Mach 1. I quess the 69-70 Mach's ,IMO, exemplify what a muscle car mustang is supposed to look like. I was thrilled when the 2005 GT came out because it captures for me that great era.
I have owned 2 '69's and 2 70's including the one I own now.One big block and the rest small blocks. I liked the small blocks handling better but that big block had some brute stump pulling torque.
The '69 will be a project but when finished it will draw a lot of attention and will be an investment. In the end you will make the right decision.
I can't wait for my Bullitt to arrive. It will look good sitting next to my '70 Mach.

I'm glad I found this forum and thread. I have talked to two dealerships thus far. One dealership has a Bullitt build sheet that was already at the dealership waiting to be sent off to order. This dealership has not been able to provide an answer about the Bullitt being eligible for the x-plan. Nor they even given me a price yet. I talked to them three days ago and stopping by again today.

I talked to a different dealership yesterday and inquired about the x-plan being offered for the Bullitt. The dealership told me the Bullitt is not covered under the x-plan and is in fact, being sold for $10,000 over M.S.R.P. I laughed at the sales manager and walked out of the showroom.

I am really jazzed about buying the 08 Bullitt, but I will not pay over MSRP for it. Sounds like I should be able to get the x-plan if I talk to the right dealership.

Exactly. Keep looking and you'll find a dealership out there who appreciates your business. If you can't get X-Plan, then you'll just have to find one under MSRP that's all. Don't give up!! What you want wants you..........

Not yet, still waiting for a day to go see it in person to see if it's worth my time and money.

I think you should get the Bullitt. It will be less hassle and more enjoyable in the long run.

I just came back from a car show here in Massachusetts. I was speaking with one of the Ford salesmen there and he said they have a Bullitt coming in a few weeks. I asked him how much, and he said $20K over sticker!!!!!!!! I laffed and told him good luck.

He also said they just delivered a GT500 for $20K over sticker, and "let go" a GT/CS for 'under sticker' because it wasn't selling.

He also said the Bullitt was just removed from X plan pricing again.

He's just another lying salesman. Most of them know almost nothing about what they sell.
