Any news if A/X/Z plans accepted

I was wondering if any news has come out yet, if Ford was accepting A/X/Z plans on ordered vehicles? My dealer says that it looks good from the initial talks he had but still waiting for the official word.

There was a post not too long ago about the acceptance of plans when ordering the Bullet and other Ford vehicles. Ford said no....maybe I'll search to find the thread to prove it, but I'm sure you could too.

Yes, I saw that thread and commented on it. I know others have been told that it looked good that Ford would honor the ordered Bullitts in Nov. and Dec.on A/Z plan. That's what I have been told, and wondered if anyone has heard officially or that they purchased with a plan price after January 9th.on a Bullitt that was ordered.

Plan sales on the Bullitt were acceptable up to 8Jan. with announcement for this quarter Ford has removed the Bullitt from eligibility.
There is discussion about it in this forum.

My car is due in this week or next, and I still can't get a straight answer from the dealership.

I called the plan sales office today, and they show it's still eligible. I told the person I spoke with about the announcement posted here, and she didn't have any record of it. She also pulled up a copy of the hero card, which originally showed the car as plan eligible.

I'll be speaking with the GM of the dealership tomorrow, and the area rep after that (hopefully).

Well....I have good news.

The GM just called me (I was surprised, seeing as it was after 6:30P), and he has it in writing, from the rep, that they will honor my Z plan. I'm not sure if it's because of the date of the order or what, but Ford is reimbursing the dealer.

I was scouring the X-plan rules yesterday, and found in the fine print that plan pricing is valid as long as the vehicle is invoiced by the cutoff date (which would have been January 8th). Cars not invoiced until after that date are not protected.

Oh yeah, and Ford is still excluding Bullitts from any plan pricing, as well as public rebates and incentives, so any new sales or orders get nothing but whatever deal you can work out with the individual dealer you're buying from.

It was built on 01/02. I have no idea when it was "invoiced", though.

The salesman (not my original one, BTW...he recently quit) told me that he couldn't bring up plan pricing for the car. I had the original paperwork with me from time of order, which has the plan prices on it, and I wasn't sure which way it was going to go. No fault of the dealer, though, since they are bound by FMC either way.

I'm just glad it worked out.

Did you plan order one? I don't think that your window sticker shows any plans, if you did.

Yes, Z plan pricing. The dealer did not put my name in with the order. I guess i was the first one at there dealership who wanted one and they ordered it after my initial meeting with my salesman. It would have nice to have my name on the sticker but as long as the price is what we agreed upon I will be very happy.

I'm not sure that your car was plan ordered, because I think that they have to give your name and order type at the time that the order is placed. I know they can normally always go back and sell for one of the plan prices, but I don't know if that will make a difference in your case with the rule change.

Irregardless, I hope it works out for you too.

Wait, invoiced by the dealer as in sold to a customer, or invoiced to the dealer by Ford?

Ours says "Date Inv. Prepared" 12-04-07, so we should still be eligible for the plans, correct? Can you tell me where in FMC dealer that message is with the fine print? Thanks.
