11 Bullitts on the lot
I just can't fathom a dealer already set up to get 45 Bullitt Mustangs. Maybe Galpin Ford, but a dealer in Texas, I just don't believe that. I don't even think I would want that many at my store, since this car is not a car that will appeal to every customer like a standard GT.

That's exactly what I was thinking, and is probably the only way it would be plausible from the Bullitt allocation rules everyone's been talking about (1 Bullitt to start then 1 Bullitt per 17 Mustangs by historical sales, et cetera, et cetera).

What's wrong with Texas? This is Mustang country, man.
Agreed, If the troops buy them, with all the transfers, they will end up all over the country. When I was at MCRD, there were 22 Boss 302 Mustangs on post. I had to sell mine when I shipped out to S.E. Asia. I tried to buy it back when I returned but no deal.I know that If that dealer had one in stock, I would have flow down and drove it back home.
Doug, Please don't take any offense. None was meant. I meant it as I was always under the assumption that Ford F-Series trucks are the #1 sellers down there. That is what our factory rep always says. Trucks outsell cars by a large margin. Again, no offense was meant bud.
This is indeed pick-up truck country, and it is definitely F-150 pick-up truck country.
I think the Bullitt is mostly going to be attractive to older guys like me. Quite frankly I would like one of those Shelby jobs, but they come with the decals, which I regard as a kiddie thing. Even the all black one has the kiddie decals subdued. I'd like a power car, but without the carnival stuff on it.

Why would Ford speculate on "what if" sales like that with so many of a special edition car?
Unfortunately they also are taking advantage of their confirmed sale orders by filling them with less priority.
Quick Note: Because of this ford allocation system.I drove to another Ford Dealership on saturday. Owned by a Famous Nascar Driver, previous Ford product and now drives for DEI. Ordered same Bullitt as before, lets see what happens.Big Dealer versus small dealer.Big Dealer had two enroute, not sold for stock.

(Just playing bud).
By the way, the most current week's ordering restrictions have increased available Bullitt orders to 23% of all Mustangs that we can order, so now it's about 1 in 4 that can be a Bullitt. Sounds like Ford is ramping up allocation for awhile to get cars through the system faster to satisfy orders.
