$1,500 rebate announced on Bullitt...

2008 Bullitts finally get the same rebate and finance specials as regular GT's...

$1,500 rebate or 1.9/2.9/3.9/5.9% for 36/48/60/72 months, on approval of credit.

This is not an April Fool's Joke - it's the real deal announced by Ford Motor Company today.

I checked the Ford website and when I put in my zip code it says $2500 on Bullitt ($1500 Retail Customer Cash + $1000 Retail Bonus Customer Cash) or $1000 (Retail Bonus Customer Cash) and the APR's you listed. I was really surprised to see it on them. Wish they would put one on the 08 SGT, I've got my eye on one near me. The dealers locally have $2500 marked on all of their GT's and Roush's as well (even the 428R, which really shocked me). I assume it's a regional thing since it asks for your zip code.

Also, there are several new 07 SGT's within reasonable distances. They just took off the $3500 rebate they were offering on them (as of 3/31) Any idea if they are going to put out something else on them? Or what will they do with them if they don't sell soon?

Thanks for any info.

The Pittsburgh zip code shows Retail Customer Cash $2,000 on Bullitt. I missed this offer by 10 days. But there is a dealer here who just called me on a Bullitt they got in and they are charging a ADM of $2,000. Looks like some dealers may see this Ford cash as theirs and use it to justify an ADM.

I was at the MCA show in Pensacola this past weekend. The local Ford dealer had a green and black on display. They had a $5K adm on the car but when anyone asked about it, they said that was the asking price so I got the impression that if you were serious and offered MSRP, it might be a go.

The previous incentive period had incentive of $1500 on the Mustang, except the Bullitt (and obviously except SGT and GT500)
Ford stood doggedly on excluding the Bullitt because it was too 'special' to include, right up to 31 March. Now all of a sudden one day later it's not so special to them, and production hasn't ended.

The Bullitt should have qualified in the previous period.

Some of the dealers who have not wanted to deal or had ADMs still have early Bullitts sitting around. Maybe this will help bail them out. They should have to sit on them IMO.

Seems odd to me that Ford do this for the Bullitt this early, but it's great for those who are still waiting for their special orders to be built and delivered.

It shouldn't be a surprise. Think about it. Like most people, most dealers didn't even have a clue to what a Bullitt is, let along the car's theme.

Ford can thank theirs dealers which once again made greed and losing potential sales over reasonable profits their priority.

Has it been confirmed by Ford yet that the MY09 continuation of the Bullitt is just until 7K (in total for MY08 and 09) units are sold? Or, will they sell more in MY09?

I have to hold off until mid-late summer time, hence the question...

It has been confirmed. It is my understanding it will be a Job 1 offering.

Apparently it will be a short run until the remaining numbers are completed (Job#1). Ford could easily produce the remaining numbers this year, but would simply flood the market with yet another car that is not selling to well. I think the Bullitt is somewhere in the #4000 range at present.

Yup that's part of what I was getting out, bailing out certain dealers.

The previous incentive should have also appplied to the Bullitt.

Incentives for the lame duck '09 Mustang will be interesting.

My dealer was eager to get the car in, now I know why. Dealers probably knew way before we did when rebates would be offered. I had the exact same thing happened to me with the '04 Cobra, bought it in June 2004 with the rebates offered in July. Had I known I would have waited two weeks and gotten a better deal.

Can't win them all.

Dealers did NOT know until 4-01-08 that Ford was going to offer a rebate for the Bullitt. Even if we had magically known, it wouldn't have mattered anyway as Ford pays the rebate; it does not come out of the dealers' pockets, so we make the same profit with or without the rebate. And, truth-be-told, our job is easier to sell a car with a rebate so it helps the dealers when rebates are available from Ford.

I knew that the Bullitt was not included in the first quarter rebates so as my car got delayed I had already made up my mind to wait until at the least third day of the second quarter to see what the rebates where. I figured what could it harm no where to go but up from nothing.
