08 vs 68 HG

08 vs 68 HG

I compared a pint of 1968 code "R" Highland Green with a fresh pint of 2008 "PX" Highland Green yesterday, the 08 green has more black in it than the 68, but the color values seem to be about the same, both a nice color for sure.
will be interesting to see the two cars in the garage together.....soon, I hope!

is there a highland green and a dark highland green?.. cause the current one is dark hyland green so maybe it is darker then your highland green car.

it appears they dropped the "dark" part of the name for 08, it is now once again just "Highland Green" however it is still code "PX" as is the former DHG.
The vintage color is a total different formula and should not be confused with any of the later ford trucks or cars.

Some of the Magazine guys that went to to SF drive said by late afternoon and at night the Highland Green looked black.

actually the mettalic content looks to be about the same, I think I will spray out a sample of both on a scrap peice of sheet metal and get a better look at this.
