Yeah the Bullitt's gonna be awful scarce, especially a year from now when all the press on it is forgotten.
The Bullitt's upgrades aren't supposed to be performance, I can most certainly make my GT faster than the Bullitt for the price spread... but I still kinda wish I had waited three or four months for a good deal on a Bullitt. It's personal preference. Kinda like how Edmunds did a comparison on the SGT vs Subaru Impreza WRX STI WTF OMG BBQ... the Scooby's faster and costs the same, doesn't mean I'm gonna get one.

The Bullitt a great car for a good price IMO . No matter what Mustang fit your budget their all special to the person that ownes them,it's the Mustang people that make the car special!!!IMO the Bullitt is awsome for about 7000 owners, but it take all of them to make the Muatang special !!!

But have you seen any of the custom rear quarter panels some people have done for the S197 with slight hips? If Ford does that with the '10 I'm definitely going to trade my '08 in on an '11 (as long as it sounds good too).

...in the mind of those who've bought one it is a legend...
which begs the question: what was your point?

Fact is, a regular GT is too fast for street use. I can barely use third gear in the city, unless I want to drive at 1200 RPMs all the time...which isn't great for the engine.
I can't even imagine the frustration of slogging a GT500 around town, knowing that the thing just wants to run.

What's really odd is that here in Vancouver - Canada's third largest city - I haven't seen a single GT500 on the road. I know they sold them here because the SVT dealerships were all talking about their lengthy waiting lists.
I guess they all became garage queens.
Now that Camaro and Challenger have bowed in production form, overall I have to say that the GT500 looks the best of all these cars. I like what Chevy and Dodge have done, but the GT500 still holds the crown.
And I bet nothing beats the whine of that supercharger!

Oh there is no doubt that it is a fast car and way too much for the street. But if you check the numbers you'll see that for 500hp it's not making the times you might expect to see from a car with 500hp.
