Oh man. I hope he comes back soon. He seems to be one of the few that actually listen to the enthusiast.

I just emailed John Alguire, the brand manager for the Shelby GT500, to ask if it was true, and if he left yet. Hau is leaving, but not quite yet. I believe he's going sometime in the spring, or summer. This is good, as I am sending Hau my visor from my GT, and a picture of him and me from Carlisle last year, to sign Some of the perks of working at a Ford dealer.

True even Mr. Shelby seen that he had it in him with design to give the people what they wanted and then some ! and then we have some that thought he sat on his duff .

Good riddence.
He was the insta MBA who sold Ford on taking SVT "upscale" and opening up the dealer pool. So the death of the brand(yes, There is a named substitute, but he has no budget, no staff, and no product) and the unmitigated by FORD dealer lack of product knowledge, along with the ADM scandle are all his work.
That is why he was sent packing, and why future SE's are going to be done in the aftermarket.
He is the reason Ford has turned its back on the premium SVT customer, and he will carry that shame to the grave.
He managed to tarnish a pretty good legacy both his own,(as chief engineer for the S-197), and of the couple of hundred thousand SVT products. Not bad, that only took him a little over two years.
DIAF Thia-Tang!!!

Yea, I guess all of you "special" SVT owners are glad he's going somewhere else, since he killed off your precious SVT's, not Ford's notorious bean counters. I always wanted an SVT vehicle (almost bought a Lightning) that is, until I met some of the most obnoxious Cobra owners. Thats why my old Focus wagon still sports SVT Focus emblems!!!

Settling for the guest star spot rather than the main attraction ain't so bad. A little Shelby conversion and you'll feel right at home.

ROFL!!!! Everyone is so **** serious in here!!! Ford is moving people around b/c of the 10,000 white collars that left Wednesday, including some fairly high up in management, so why does that mean anything about SVT? They're not dead, just in a financially-induced coma right now. George, I've never met you, and by NO means did I mean you at all. There are buttheads driving every nice brand of cars out there, and for everyone of them, there is dozens of nice people too, I just happened to find the few bad apples in the Cobra world!!!

I guess not, since Jet hasn't responded yet. The fellow above stated it perfectly. Ford's beancounters put SVT in the coma it currently is. Hau wanted to produce more cars, but the $$$ issues isn't letting them do it right now. Don't blame this guy, he is us, a true car guy.
